Katie Burnet signs National Letter of Intent to play at Longwood

FARMVILLE, Va. – Longwood University women's lacrosse interim head coach Wendy Stone has announced the signing of seven student-athletes for 2012-13. Joining the Lancers will be Katie Burnet|Apex, N.C. (Apex), Nicole Cochran|Midlothian (Trinity Episcopal), Caroline Mann|Herndon (Herndon), Katie McHugh|Burke (Robinson), Caitlyn Miller|Vero Beach, Fla. (Vero Beach), Lisa Schell|Spencerville, Md. (Paint Branch), and Shelby Wilde|Buffalo, N.Y. (Nichols School).
Cougar Power Wins Pumpkin Shootout
Apex Varsity players made up the Cougar Power team who won this tournament in Chapel Hill. 24 high school teams were represented at this year's Pumkin Shootout - now in its 6th year of promoting pre-season play for teams in the Carolinas.
